The Rita After Affect
After we left the Hula Hut, Kathleen and I went to check out Miller dam and to watch the drunk cruisers as their tour boat was approaching the landing dock. Kathleen was still feeling the affects of her two ritas she had earlier at the Hula Hut. We were both feeling good.

A Tex-Mex Breakfast
When one is about to do some serious hiking on Barton Creek, then one needs plenty of good food to hold one through the day. My friend Brian turned me on to this great mexican restuarant on 1st street called Provos. It's one of the best places to eat in Austin, I think. I eat here everytime I go to Austin.

On The way To Barton Creek
Me on the trail to Barton Creek. This is the trail head from MoPac or Hwy 1. The trail decends about a 100 feeet down to Barton Creek. We should pop out some where close to Twin Falls. Our goal is to hike to Sculpter Falls which is about a 45 minute hike further upstream from Twin Falls.

Oh, It's Just The Two Of Us
After decending down to the creek, Kathleen and I stopped for a little rest at Twin Falls. Surprisely, there were not very many people there. However, it was still relatively early. When we passed Twin Falls on our way back later on that day, there were tons of people there.

College Kids And Their Dogs
Rarely will you be at Sculpter Falls on a nice warm day and there aren't any college kids polluting the creek with thier empty beer cans and who knows what else. I took this photo because I liked the dog with the strange dog paddle. I've never seen a dog swim like that before. It kept splashing as if it were drowning.

A Day At The Swimming Hole
These happy group of people were enjoying a great day at Sculpter Falls. They were on the other side of the creek from us. The little kids were jumping and diving off the little cliff there. I really took the photo because I especially loved the little chubby kid on the left with the cool swimming trunks.

Cave Dewellers
Kathleen and I were going to visit the local cave on the side of the cliffs above Barton creek, but unfortunately, someone beat us to it and decided to spend the night too. This guy and his friend didn't come down from the cave until their friends climbed up there and woke them up.
